Getting Started
Purpose
Orients new tenant admins and editors. Covers logging in, the layout of the admin, role expectations, and the first three things to do after taking over a site.
When to use this
Read this on day one. If you only have time for one help page, read this one.
How to access the admin
- Open your site URL with
/adminappended (for examplehttps://yourgolfclub.com/admin). - Enter your email and password. If you've forgotten your password, click Forgot Password and check your inbox.
- After logging in you'll see the Dashboard.
Roles
The role on your user record controls what you can do:
| Role | Can do | |---|---| | Tenant admin | Everything inside your site: content, settings, integrations, users. | | Tenant editor | Create and edit content (pages, posts, events, media). Cannot change settings or invite users. | | Tenant viewer | Read-only access. Useful for reviewers or external auditors. | | Super admin | nooQ staff. Can access every tenant. You will not see this role unless you work for nooQ. |
If you can't see a sidebar item that someone else can see, your role doesn't have permission. Ask your tenant admin to update your role from the Platform > Users screen.
First three things to do
- Check Site Settings — confirm your club name, logo, and contact details are right. See Site Settings.
- Skim your Pages — the most-edited content type. See Managing Pages.
- Try the help chat — the green chat bubble at the bottom right of the admin can answer most questions and link you back to these docs.
Gotchas
- Multi-tenant scoping: Every collection is scoped to your tenant automatically. You can never accidentally edit another club's content from your admin.
- One Header / Footer per tenant: The system enforces a single Header and Footer per site; if you try to create a second you'll get a validation error. Edit the existing one instead.
- Drafts vs published: Almost every content type supports drafts. Use the Status field to control visibility on the public site.
