Add a Golf Genius leaderboard to a page
Purpose
Once Golf Genius is connected and a sync has run, you can show a live competition leaderboard on any page using the Golf Genius Leaderboard block. The block pulls scores straight from Golf Genius and refreshes itself — no manual entry, no screenshots.

A short Loom video shows the whole flow end to end:
▶ How to add a Golf Genius leaderboard to a page (Loom)
Before you start
- Golf Genius must be connected and at least one sync completed — see Golf Genius Integration. If the block can't find any seasons, the integration isn't set up yet.
- You need edit access to the page you want the leaderboard on. New to pages? See the Page builder.
Add the block
- Open the page you want it on (Content > Pages, then edit), or create a new one.
- In the page body, click Add Block and choose Golf Genius Leaderboard.
- The block opens an event picker with three cascading dropdowns:
- Season — pick the Golf Genius season (e.g. "2026 Season").
- Event — pick the competition (e.g. "Monthly Medal"). The list is filtered to the season you chose.
- Round — pick the round, or leave on the default for single-round events.
- A Live Preview renders below the picker so you can confirm you've got the right competition before saving.
- Save (or Publish) the page. The leaderboard is now live and updates each time Golf Genius syncs.
Sizing and display options
The block has three tabs of extra settings — the defaults are fine for most pages:
- Height Settings
- Automatic (recommended) — the block measures its content and sizes itself. This is the default.
- Custom Fixed Height — set a fixed pixel height with the slider (handy when a page layout needs a predictable box).
- Max height — caps the automatic height; content beyond it scrolls. Useful for very long fields.
- Enable scrolling within widget — turn on if you'd rather the leaderboard scroll inside a fixed box than push the page down.
- Display Options — colour scheme and column defaults. These inherit from your Block defaults in Golf Genius settings unless you override them here.
- Debug — leave off in normal use; it surfaces the resolved Golf Genius IDs and the embed URL when you're troubleshooting with nooQ Support.
Keeping it current
- The leaderboard refreshes on the sync schedule set in Golf Genius settings (Hourly / Every 6h / Daily / Manual).
- For a live results page during a comp, set the sync to Hourly (or run Sync now between rounds) so positions stay fresh.
- The block caches briefly. If the preview shows stale data while editing, use the 🔄 Refresh button on the event picker to clear that block's cache.
Common tasks
Show last weekend's medal result
Add the block, pick the season and that event, leave height on Automatic, publish. Once the comp is closed in Golf Genius the leaderboard freezes on the final standings.
Put a leaderboard on the home page
Same steps — the block works on any page, including the home page and landing pages built in the Page builder.
Swap a finished comp for the next one
Edit the page, open the block, change the Event (and Round) in the picker, save. No need to delete and re-add.
Gotchas
- No seasons in the dropdown? The integration isn't connected or hasn't synced yet — start at Golf Genius Integration.
- Course not mapped — for handicap-adjusted (net) leaderboards the Golf Genius course must be mapped to a nooQ Course, or you'll see gross scores only. Map it under Integrations > Golf Genius > Course maps.
- Blocks v2 — use the current Golf Genius Leaderboard block (v2). Older v1 leaderboard blocks still render but are frozen; don't add new ones.
- Wrong round showing — multi-round events default to the latest round; pick the specific round in the picker if you want an earlier one.
