League Settings
Purpose
League Settings is the on/off switch and identity for nooQ League on your site. Two fields, set once, and the rest of the league/match features become usable: Match Admin, the league-results Payload blocks, and iframe embedding from external sites.
When to use this
- First-time setup of nooQ League for your club, county or union.
- Renaming your "league org" (rare — only do this if your county/union changes branding).
- Turning league off temporarily.
Key fields
| Field | What it is |
|---|---|
| League org name (leagueOrgName) | The short identifier the league app uses to find your data. Examples: NLCGA, Notts, Suffolk. This is not the same as your Payload tenant slug — it's whatever the league app expects (often a county or union code). |
| Enable nooQ League (features.nooqLeague) | Master switch. When off, Match Admin and league blocks short-circuit with a "not configured" message. |
A "Resolved URL" preview shows the actual URL that Match Admin will redirect to (e.g. https://nooq.golf:8443/org/NLCGA/) — useful for sanity-checking the org name.
Common tasks
First-time setup
- Integrations > League Settings.
- Tick Enable nooQ League.
- Enter the League org name exactly as nooQ Support gives it to you. The match is case-sensitive.
- Save. The "Resolved URL" appears below the form — open it in a new tab to confirm the league app recognises your org.
- Go to Match Admin to start managing seasons, fixtures and results.
Disable temporarily (e.g. end-of-season clean-up)
- League Settings > untick Enable nooQ League > Save.
- Match Admin shows "not configured"; league blocks on the public site render a neutral fallback.
Rename your league org
- Contact nooQ Support first — the league app does string matching against the org name, so a rename requires a coordinated data move.
- Once Support confirms, update League org name here and save.
Gotchas
- Org name typos break everything silently. If the league app doesn't recognise the name, Match Admin redirects to a 404 page on the league side. The Payload "Resolved URL" preview helps catch this — always test the link after saving.
- One toggle controls everything. Disabling here turns off Match Admin, the league-results blocks on every page, AND any iframe embeds — they all read the same flag.
- No collection, no list view. League Settings is a per-tenant view, not a CRUD list. There's exactly one configuration per site.
- This is separate from Golf Genius — different supplier, different data, different settings page. You can have both enabled.
