The problem with running a studio on a lesson diary
Most lesson booking tools start from the coach: a person with a rota. A simulator studio starts from the room. A bay is booked by the hour whether or not a coach is present, and the same bay is used for lessons. If the two are in different systems, or if the system only understands people, you end up preventing clashes by hand.
What to set up
Bays as resources
Each bay is a bookable resource with its own name, price and hours. Customers see which bays are free and book one by the hour online. In nooQ, bays and coaches sit in the same booking engine, so a coaching bay in use for a lesson is not offered for hire at the same time.
Opening hours per facility
A studio's hours belong to the studio. nooQ sets hours per facility per day, so an indoor studio can stay open until late while an outdoor range at the same site closes with the light.
Pricing that follows demand
Evenings and weekends fill first. Each bay can have peak and off-peak rates, and extras can be added at booking. Gift vouchers and discount codes are sold from your shop and redeemed at booking.
Payment at booking
Take the card payment when the bay is booked. A no-show then costs the customer, not you.
Answers when you are busy
A studio's busiest hours are when you are coaching. Customers asking "is a bay free at 7?" or "how much for two hours on Saturday?" get an answer from Cadd-AI, which reads the same diary and price list as your booking page.
What nooQ does not do
nooQ manages the bay as a bookable resource, including its hours, pricing and payment. It does not connect to the launch monitor or simulator software itself, so it will not start a TrackMan session or pull shot data.
