This guide sets out what each one does, what it costs as listed in September 2026, and where each one leaves the work with you.
What a golf pro actually needs from a booking system
Before comparing products, it helps to be clear about the job. A PGA professional's diary has to cope with:
- Lessons of different lengths and prices — a 30-minute lesson, a 60-minute playing lesson, a junior group.
- Packages and vouchers — five- and ten-lesson series, gift vouchers at Christmas, discount codes.
- Resources as well as people — a coaching bay, a simulator or a launch-monitor studio that cannot be in two places at once.
- Payment at the point of booking — a deposit or the full fee, so no-shows cost the student, not you.
- Reminders — by email and text, ideally WhatsApp, because that is where students already are.
- Questions — "have you anything Thursday after work?", "how much is a 10-lesson pack?", "can my son join the junior clinic?". This is the part most systems leave out.
Every product below handles the first five to some degree. The last one is where they differ most.
Foremost Online Lesson Booking System (OLBS)
Foremost is the UK's largest golf retail and marketing buying group, with around 990 member professionals. Its Online Lesson Booking System has run since 2019 and offers 24/7 web booking for lessons, fittings and packages, deposits or full payment, email and SMS reminders, Google Calendar sync, fitting waiting lists and post-lesson surveys.
- Price (Sept 2026): included with EMP Premium, or £7.42 a month on EMP Lite. Foremost POS is extra.
- Who can use it: Foremost members only.
- Strengths: it is already in many pro shops, it is effectively free to members, and it comes with Foremost's retail buying power and marketing.
- What it leaves to you: it is a booking page, not a front desk. There is no AI assistant, no WhatsApp booking and no phone answering, so every question still reaches you. It has no simulator or bay resource management.
ProAgenda
ProAgenda is the most complete golf-specific booking product. It covers online booking, payments, packages, memberships and vouchers, automatic bay and simulator allocation, multi-coach dashboards, a white-label academy app, video analysis and reminders.
- Price (Sept 2026, from third-party listings): roughly €13, €58 and €105 a month for its Base, Plus and Premium plans, scaled by the number of agendas.
- Who can use it: anyone.
- Strengths: genuinely built for golf, with resource logic for bays and launch monitors, and strong among indoor and simulator centres.
- What it leaves to you: it is self-service. Students book themselves, but you still answer every question. There is no AI assistant and no WhatsApp or voice booking, and the website, shop and social accounts are run separately.
If you are on ProAgenda today, nooQ can import your professionals, lesson types and prices, packages, vouchers, bookings and clients at signup. See moving from ProAgenda.
Acuity, Setmore, Calendly and other general schedulers
Acuity Scheduling (owned by Squarespace), Setmore, Calendly, SimplyBook and Wix Bookings are general appointment schedulers used by coaches, therapists, salons and consultants.
- Price (Sept 2026): Acuity lists Emerging, Growing and Powerhouse plans at $16, $27 and $49 a month on annual billing. SMS reminders, packages and multiple staff start on the Growing plan. Others are similar or cheaper.
- Strengths: cheap, polished and familiar, with a large integration library.
- What it leaves to you: none of them is built for golf. There are no bays, simulators or fittings, no playing-lesson logic and no AI answering, and your website, shop and marketing live somewhere else. Pros usually outgrow them when they add a second coach, a bay or a simulator.
nooQ Golf
nooQ is a UK golf platform. For a golf professional it combines online lesson booking, lesson packages and vouchers, bay and simulator booking, card payments, a website on your own domain, and Cadd-AI, the AI assistant.
- Packages: Solo Pro (one instructor, online booking, a basic website, card payments, reminders), Academy (two to five instructors, bay and simulator management, cadd-AI on WhatsApp, a custom site, newsletter, lesson packages) and Performance Centre (a full facility). Each has a 14-day free trial and an annual option. Current prices are on the golf professionals page.
- Who can use it: any golf professional, with or without a club.
- Strengths: Cadd-AI answers students' questions from your own price list and books into your real diary on the web and on WhatsApp. Your rota is the single source of availability, so the times a student is offered are the times that can be booked. Lessons and bays share one engine, so a coaching bay cannot be hired out while you are teaching in it.
- What it leaves to you: it does not provide retail buying power or a pro-shop till, which Foremost does. It manages a simulator bay as a bookable resource but does not connect to the launch monitor or simulator software.

How to choose
- You are a Foremost member, teach alone and rarely miss enquiries: OLBS is hard to beat on price.
- You run an indoor studio and your students are happy to self-serve: ProAgenda is built for you.
- You are adding a second coach, a bay or a simulator: a general scheduler will start to fight you.
- Your problem is not the booking page but the messages, calls and WhatsApps that arrive while you are teaching: that is the problem nooQ was built for. See how Cadd-AI books lessons.
