What UK clubs usually run today
A typical club has a tee sheet and membership system (often ClubV1, intelligentgolf, BRS or Golfmanager), competitions in that system or in Golf Genius, a separate till, a website someone else hosts, an accounts package, and a phone that never stops. Each is reasonable on its own. The problem is the joins: the member's bar balance in one place, their subscription in another, their bookings in a third.
What to look for
Area | What good looks like |
|---|---|
Tee sheet | One live sheet for every channel, fair release-time allocation, protected member times |
Membership | Exact quotes, monthly direct debit with no finance company, online joining and renewal |
Competitions | Entry, draws, live leaderboards, results and orders of merit, with Golf Genius or ClubV1 if you use them |
Bar and kitchen | An EPOS that takes payment from member accounts and times the kitchen to the course |
Accounts | Two-way sync with Xero or Sage |
Website | On the club's own domain, managed by the club, built for search and AI answers |
Member app | Branded for the club, on iPhone and Android |
AI | An assistant that books and answers from live data, on web, WhatsApp and phone |
Moving | A run-alongside migration rather than a weekend cut-over |

- Monthly membership by direct debit
- Golf club EPOS

How to run the evaluation
- Write down where the office's time actually goes for one week.
- Ask each supplier to show those jobs, live, with your own course and rules.
- Ask how the move works: does the new system run alongside the old one?
- Ask a club that has moved.
